My name is Dalys Hurtado, and I was born in Montería, Colombia, near the Caribbean Sea. I hold a B.A. in Foreign Languages from the University of Córdoba (Colombia), completed advanced studies in Creative Writing and Special Education at Seattle University (USA), and earned a Master’s degree in Educational Center Coordination from the International University of La Rioja (Spain). My professional journey has been enriched by academic and cultural exchanges in the United States and Colombia, which have shaped my holistic approach to education.

My path crossed with Nadas through my desire to teach my native bilingual language to students of other languages. This represented a higher-level challenge for me, both personally and professionally, and the results I see today are the first fruits of sustained effort, dedication, and hard work.

I place my students’ emotional well-being, curiosity, and personal growth at the heart of my teaching. By creating a safe, supportive, and inspiring environment, I help each child build confidence, explore their abilities, and engage fully in the adventure of learning a new language.

I design lessons that go beyond traditional methods. Through experience, play, movement, music, culture, and technology, I foster critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills. I encourage students to learn through intuition, curiosity, questioning, and collaboration, ensuring that each child develops not only language skills but also the ability to navigate the world thoughtfully and independently.

At Nadas, I step into my students’ imaginative world while inviting them into mine, creating dynamic, immersive, and memorable experiences. For me, Spanish is far more than words or songs—it is culture, creativity, curiosity, and connection.

Come discover Turkey and Colombia with me, as together we explore new ideas, embrace technology, and inspire a lifelong love of learning guided by a teacher who truly values and cherishes every student.
