I was born in Ankara in 1980. I completed my entire education, from primary school to university, in Ankara. After graduating from Ankara University, Department of Primary School Teaching, I worked for 12 years in various provinces of Turkey under the Ministry of National Education. For the past 12 years, I have been working in private schools as an administrator and coordinator. Every new city, every new school, and every new student made me ask the same question: “How can learning be more meaningful, more lasting, and more exciting?”
While pursuing this question, I discovered creative drama. I embraced curiosity, trying to understand, experimenting, and making mistakes as a way of learning. For me, being a creative drama leader became not just a method, but a way of seeing the world together with children and adults. I believed that learning begins with questions and wonder, and that the best knowledge is blended with lived experiences.
Today, I work as the Education Coordinator at Nadas Children’s Village. My path crossed with Nadas through curiosity. Because this is a school for those who see learning not as a result, but as a journey. A place that believes in discovery rather than rote memorization, in experience rather than ready-made knowledge, and in a learning space that grows with children’s voices rather than silence. Just like I do.
Here, every day, we work with teachers to find ways to help children love learning. We design interdisciplinary plans and bring together learning with drama and play. We value every child’s discovery of their strengths and every teacher’s ability to keep their professional passion alive. Because we know that learning can only grow through shared curiosity.
